Lebanese pop star Nawal Zogby, is photographed during her performance in downtown Beirut as a part of celebrations organized by the "March 11 Movement" in the heart of the Lebanese capital on May 27 2008.

The March 11 Movement includes members from various religious sects, many of them are young people, academics and businessmen/women.The group is not a political party and does not have a political platform. Many Lebanese have been sick and tired of the long political standoff and inside fighting situation. They do not believe that any side in the political conflict is wrong, they just see things differently, and should find a common ground for the best interest of Lebanon.

The March 11 share 50/50 the opposition bloc known as "March 8 Camp" (after a Hezbollah-led opposition rally held on that day in 2005) in support of Syrian intervention in Lebanon, and the "March 14 Movement" which supported the government. March 14 was the date of another rally (calling for an end to Syrian domination over Lebanese politics).

March 11 slogan is "We want to live together." Concerts were held in central Beirut on Tuesday and Wednesday night, to celebrate the election of a new Lebanese president and the return of a normal life to the country's capital.

The chief of the Lebanese army,Michel Suleiman was elected as president by parliament in a first step towards national reconciliation, after that a bitter political standoff turned violent, and threatened to plunge Lebanon back into civil war.
