On Friday, Israelis in war ships launched two rockets targeting Palestinian fishermen on the shore line outside the Sudaniyya seaside area of the northern Gaza Strip,.The Israelis assaults continued on Saturday morning when Palestinian fishermen was targeted with machine guns damaging their boats, outside the shoreline of Tal As-Sultan, in the western parts of Rafah in southern Gaza Strip. These Israeli attacks inside Palestinian territorial waterlines is a direct violation of the truce, which went in to effect on June 19 between the Israeli occupant and the Palestinian homeland resistance.
The Israelis have breached the truce several times and Palestinian resistance unites, except from Al Qassam Brigades ( Hamas) have accordingly retaliated to the Israelis attacks. The Israelis have re-sealed the border crossings twice since the truce came to effect, under the pretext that Palestinian groups ( unprovoked)have fired rockets into Israeli border towns. The Egyptian brokered truce agreement said, that the Israelis has to implement the ending of the siege on Gaza Strip in return for ceasefire.
On Saturday Fawzi Barhoum accused some elements within Fatah movement, of deliberately hindering the process of the initiative for dialogue between the Palestinian organizations. Barhoum said that"Hamas considers a dialogue a basic strategy to unite the Palestinian home front, is the only way to success for the national Palestinian project".
Hamas is calling Mahmoud Abbas and his Fatah movement to disregard those figures within Fatah, those who deliberately are trying to impede a dialogue. Fawzi Bahoum urge Fatah to start a immediate comprehensive dialogue with Hamas, under Arab and/or Palestinian supervision. In the statement Barhoum said that "those who try to impede a dialogue between Hamas and Fatah and the Palestinian home front to be united, they are giving priority in their own interests over Palestinian national interests."
Barhoum urged Arab countries not to wait for an American approval before supporting a Palestinian dialogue. The US have deliberately attempted to create internal war between Fatah and Hamas,in transferring large sums of money and weaponry to Fatah on the West Bank, but have made no success to isolate Hamas within the Palestinian society.
Barhoum concluded that"so far, no Arab country has offered to sponsor a Hamas-Fatah dialogue. "It seems the delay to make a formal decision to the proposal, is due to the US rejection to a dialogue." After one year of Palestinian internal political crisis, and several Hamas proposals of a dialogue, finally in early June this year, during excessive Israeli attacks over Gaza Strip, Mahmoud Abbas called for a return to direct talks between Hamas and Fatah.Political Palestinian fractions including the left, have had several meetings and support the dialogue, however so far, no high-level talks have taken place between Hamas and Fatah.
