GAZA - Muhammad Al-Deif,the commander in chief of the armed wing of Hamas,Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades,vowed in a public statement on Tuesday,"victory or death" in the resistance to the occupant, the Zionist Israel.Mohammad Al- Deif the illusive,and highly respected legendary top commander of Hamas military wing,said in a first public statement, in over two years,that -" We will continue the resistance against the Israelis, or we will die as Martyrs - we will continue our resistance against Israel to free Palestinian lands".

In a speech,written in a new published book entitled " Immortal Martyrs", Mohammad Al - Deif writes about Palestinian Martyrs in the Gaza Beach Camp. Al-Deif salutes with respect and affection, the Palestinians who has sacrificed their blood in defending the honor of Palestinian lands.He writes " When we talk about Martyrs, words can not describe the great deeds they have made to defend God's cause and our religion, our land and our nation's pride and dignity."

In his book, published by Hamas media,Mohammad Al- Deif brought to attention the backbone of the Islamic struggle, he writes - "The first core part of the Islamic order, was founded by Sheik Ahmad Yassin,and aroused in the Ash - Shati Refuge Camp.The Palestinian opposition against the Zionist Israels occupation,became one unified force,aroused and bursted into flames, to be spread out like a wild fire across the entire Palestine. It was the Islamic movement whom enlightened the path towards, pride, dignity and the finale victory".

Mohammad Al- Deif achieved through a long list of merits,the position as commander of Izz Ad-Din Al-Qassam Brigades after the Israeli assassination of Sheik Salah Shahade in July, 2002, in this bomb attack 14 civilians including children died.Deif has not spoken to the media or appeared in public since 2006, when the Israeli occupation soldier Gilad Shalit, was captured by the Palestinian resistance in Gaza Strip.

In July 12,2006, following the capture of Shalit, Mohammad Al- Deif survived an Israeli assassination attempt, when the Israelis launched an missile strike towards the home of the family of Abu Silmiyyah,in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City.The strike on the building,where high level Hamas leaders held a meeting, situated in a residential neighborhood, Al-Deif survived the attack with severe spine injuries, the heavy impact of the bomb killed the owner of the house, Abu Silmiyyah and several children.

Mohammad Al -Deif have survived five other Israeli assassination attempts ,which has caused him serious handicaps. Mohammad Deif's senior assistant, Adnan Al-Ghoul was assassinated while driving his private car close to his home,in a Israeli air strike in October 21, 2004.
